WHY “EVEREST BOUND”?
“Everest is the ultimate vertical aspiration
of the Earth, a legend carved in rock where
the summit is conquered only by defying gravity.
Those who take on this challenge know that at such
a prohibitive altitude, rigidity paralyzes
and superfluous weight crushes.
We have combined this iconic name with the
word BOUND because it encapsulates the
idea of the leap, united with the verticality
of the mountain and the elegance
of the deer. This design guarantees total
freedom of movement, accommodating
sudden variations in trajectory.”

When Elkland asked us for a shoe inspired by the world’s highest peak, we took on the challenge of redefining the concept of the heavy and static expedition boot.
To create the EVEREST BOUND model, we drew inspiration from the deer—specifically the agility and power of its sudden bursts through the undergrowth.
In this design, the concept of muscle fibers inspired a lightweight, flexible structure that doesn’t restrict the energy of your stride.

The gamble was to combine technical mountain safety with a structure that conveys the deer’s agility.
We drew inspiration from its muscle fibers, translating the explosive strength and fluidity of its leap into the structural components of the upper.
